Deadlines.

Capital Chronicle Team,

I had another meeting with the Dominion Post, this time with the design team in town. To work in with them we have the following deadlines.

Tuesday 7th: Meeting 4th floor Mac Lab to run over what we have for the next day meeting with DomPost, and then work on what we don't have.

Wednesday 8th: Meeting with Dominion Post, 3pm, 40 Boulcoutt st. Discuss potential adverts, layout, things that they have templated and can produce for us, screen colour vs. print colour, general newspaper design advice. It would be good to have some adverts drafted at this stage, and hopefully a few articles at a finished stage. I think myself and perhaps 2 others will attend this.

Tuesday 14th: All articles finished and formatted to your designated design space (I will produce a layout and designate each of you space through our 12 page spread) and placed into 'Capital Chronicle' folder on R:Drive on SOAD network.

Wednesday 15th: Our fully formatted to DomPost print requirement 12 page-spread handed to Dominion Post design team for review due 11am. This will be our fully finished product, just needs to be checked that it meets printing specifications.

Thursday 16th: CAPITAL CHRONICLE GOES TO PRINT!! We have been invited to view (and hopefully video) our newspaper being printed in Petone at 10am (catching the 9.05am train, costs $8 return off-peak). Also if everyone brings ($22 each and I will collect the subsidised $250 to cover print costs).

We should then return to Wellington with 300 copies of Capital Chronicle Thursday afternoon.
I will run these details by DomPost to confirm that they are alright with it all, but this guideline should bring us smoothly to presentation day.

Peace
Tenzin
